​God is the source of all blessings, temporal and spiritual, all that we have and all that we are we owe to Him. As spiritual debtors to a gracious God we are under a binding obligation to serve Him with our time, talents and material blessings we call possessions. Christians should recognize all these as entrusted to them to use for the glory of God and helping others. According to scriptures, Christians should contribute of their means cheerfully, regularly, systematically, proportionally and liberally for the advancement of the Redeemer's cause on earth. The biblical example of 10% tithe is but one element of our blessing.
